05/07/21 - A message from the Governing Body:
Due to the secondment of our Headteacher Mr Iwan Wyn Taylor to GwE from September onwards, the Governing Body's appointment panel has been recruiting an acting Headteacher. Following a successful interview, Mr Rhys Ynyr Jones has been appointed to the post. As a result of this, we are currently in the process of recruiting and appointing a temporary KS2 teacher. An update on the matter will follow on appointment to the post.
The Governors wish Mr Jones and Mr Taylor every success with their new responsibilities.

Care provision for the children of key workers and vulnerable/disadvantaged children
We kindly remind parents of the guidance from the Welsh Government in regards to the care provision. The guidance can be found here (click on the link). Large numbers of pupils who currently attends the care provision defeats this strict lockdown's objective – we therefore ask you to respect the Government's guidelines. Only book your child into the care provision when there is no other alternative. Having said this, if there is no other option, the care provision will be available every school day for you. We respect that every family’s circumstances are different - the Headteacher has discussed specific situations with some parents, and as a result has agreed access for the children to the care provision for the benefit of the child(ren).
The booking form for the care provision will be sent on Monday (previous week) and must be filled by Thursday night, as the school must plan for the coming week. Here is next week’s booking form (w/c 25/1)
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if we can be of any help to you, or if you want to discuss any issues or concerns. Thank you.

All parents need to read the letter sent out regarding ‘Google Meet’ sessions as well as agree to online meetings and sessions agreement and code of conduct by responding to this online form please : Online Form

This video promotes some useful apps that all parents; including non-Welsh speaking parents; can use at home to support the development of Welsh reading and Welsh language immersion.
We encourage Foundation Phase parents to download and use all of ‘Llyfrau Magi Ann’ apps. Whilst using ‘Llyfrau Magi Ann’ apps, parents and children are able to read along, listen, and tap individual words to hear pronunciation and to see a translation. The apps are designed to support English speakers. Search for ‘Magi Ann’ on the App Store and Play Store. Please watch this video that also promotes other apps that can help with Welsh reading and Welsh immersion such as ‘Tric a Chlic’, ‘Cyw Tiwb’ and ‘Selog’.
If you require more details about Welsh resources to use at home, please ask the class teachers.
